Black Glazed Double-
handled Ewer with Blue and
White Cloud Decor
T'ang Dynasty
(A.D. 618-906)
Height 23.1cm
The most celebrated
examples of this type of
black glazed ware with
either blue or white
splashes come from Kung-
hsien, Honan. This ewer
has two loop handles on
the shoulder, with a short
spout at one side and a
curved handle at the other.
This full-bodied ewer has
a flat, unglazed base.
